Think BIG – An Economic Driver For Change
In todays ever growing competitive environment businesses are facing increasing challenges within their day-to-day operations. Reducing costs and the need to respond competitively to customer needs and demands is proving increasingly challenging.
In order to intervene and try to address the effects of the above problems and difficulties, Strabane District Council has developed a programme of support for local businesses by providing a mentoring and advice programme aimed at promoting sales growth and operational efficiencies. The programme was launched in February and is being delivered through Business in the Community. It is entitled Think BIG (Business Innovation Growth) and has been previously piloted successfully in Coleraine with outstanding results and support for businesses.
The programme aim is to profile at least 200 businesses within the district and identify a minimum of 40 businesses, either new or existing, who could benefit from one-to-one mentoring to create, sustain, or expand their business.
