Smoke Control
Three smoke control areas are currently in force in relation to Strabane, Castlederg and Newtownstewart. Only authorised fuels may be burned within a smoke control area unless the fuels are used in an exempt appliance capable of burning such fuels without creating smoke. There are currently no plans to extend the boundaries of the existing smoke control areas in the district.
