ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

The Environmental Protection team is managed by Alan Haire, Senior Environmental Health Officer supported by three Environmental Health Officers. The team are responsible for implementing legislation in relation to air quality, industrial pollution, prevention & control, housing, nuisances, pests. the Council has an Environmental Protection- Enforcement and Prosecution Policy that must be used in all cases before enforcement action is considered.
