Reporting accidents, dangerous occurrences or incidences of occupational disease arising out of or in connection with any work activity is a legal requirement and notification must be made to the Enforcing Authority which will either be the District Council or HSENI. Whilst initial notification may be made by telephone, there is a specific accident report form( NI 2508) that must be completed when any notification is being made to the Enforcing Authority.
